Origen signs agreement to launch engineering phase of the Pelican Gulf Coast Carbon Removal Direct Air Capture project, including advanced carbon credit commitments
The project is expected to remove up to 50,000 tonnes of carbon per year. The potential offtake includes up to $3 million in advanced carbon removal credits.

The XPRIZE Carbon Removal competition revealed a Top 100 list that recognizes the leading innovators in the space. The XPRIZE mission is to build a strong new industry of carbon removal companies that can collectively “Get to Gigatonne-Scale”. Origen is proud to be one of 9 runner-ups in the competition, validating the recent significant progress and potential of our limestone-based direct-air-capture (DAC) technology.
